Today we debunk another TikTok chain of videos about making money on Etsy by posting a few premade pieces of artwork. So the steps are easy according to these videos. So let’s follow them and see how we do with making money on the internet Etsy edition.

STEP 1: Find a keyword or topic to work with. For this video we are going to do wall Canvas Art Digital Download. So we used our favorite tool Canva and our favorite free media site pixabay.com, found some flower artwork and went at it.

STEP 2: Open up Canva and make the design into something we can offer for digital download.

Step 3: Since we didn’t have one to start, we had to step up a Etsy store which was relatively quite easy. Just follow the questions to fill out the Store info, Finance Details, and personal information. Once that’s all set a helpful guide walks you through listing your first item.

Step 4: List your item. Note for new ETSY.com sellers, There is a fee to list and sell items on Esty(obviously). Currently as the date of this post it’s 20 cents per listing(this includes if you repost after the quantity is depleted.) Plus a percentage per sale. Summed up, that’s $0.45 USD plus 9.5% of a sale. Since were targeting a digital download audience, we decided to keep it low. Let’s start at $2.99.

Step 5: Upload your designs from Canva. For my listing I uploaded all the files I could think that a user would want. So I have the PDF, JPG, PNG and SVG. You can upload these right to Etsy.

Step 6: Bank Money? No , unfortunately it’s not that easy. It’s been about 2 weeks and not even a single view to my product. So yes you have to do more. Between keywords, and mainly just advertising. The market is just is flooded with similar listings.

Extra Notes: At the time of the article, I didn’t put any effort into advertising on social media because hey, Most users looking at these posts aren’t social media celebrities. However, I will post this to our Pinterest board(Article coming soon) and see if we can drive any traffic from that to it.
